Squealing Brembos!

At about 1,300 miles I brought The Bee back to the dealer for a squealing rear brake and to have the intake installed.  I thought they fixed it because they gave me my receipt and sent me on my way.  It was still squealing.... Brought back at 1,700 miles and they told me that it is normal for the Brembos.  They said it should stop between 3000 and 5000 miles.  Well I have just under 5000 miles and this damn brake could wake up the neighbors, very annoying.  What should I do?  Is this really normal?  Perhaps another dealer would be better.

Re: Squealing Brembos!

Its not normal but it does happen. Here is a link that works but it will come back: http://lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=109101 I have used just about all pads and have found that Hawk is the best not dust stops like oem. Call josh at HHP for them is you want to be done with squealing and dust.

I"ve had Centric Posi-Quiet pads on all 4 corners for about 7k miles and haven't had any squealing.  They have minimal brake dust and the performance doesn't suffer much.  As Claude suggested, I'll probably try the Hawk pads next time around to see if the performance is any better.

Re: Squealing Brembos!

This issue started happening for me only when I had my tires replaced.  maybe some dust fell in there while the tires were being changed? I have to bring it to the dealer and see what they say, and I'll let you know!

Re: Squealing Brembos!

Thanks for the help. I'll get mine back to the dealer as soon as I get the chance.
