I agree with Claude. Use Mobil 1. I have used Mobil one for the last 15 years in my daily drivers. My 93 Intrepid has 245K on it and the only part I replaced on the engine was a timing chain about 60K ago. I have never had a issue or ever had an engine breakdown running Mobil 1. I use Fram Tough Gard oil filters for $5.64 at Walmart. Their a little more money but their worth it. The Tough Gard filters have the highest level of filter media. I run my daily driver 6K miles between oil changes. I pay $22 for a 5 Qt jug of Mobil 1 High Mileage formula at Walmart. I use the High Mileage formula in my daily drivers because it has seal conditioner additives, which help to stop oil leaks from worn seals and dry gaskets. High Mileage formula also has special cleaners to reduce gum and tarnish build up. Mobil 1 has a Extended life formula, which has additives to slow chemical breakdown of the oil and fortifiers to help maintain viscosity, it's a little more money at $24 - $25 a jug but if you plan to run your oil more then 6K miles you should use the Extended Life oil. If you want to only run your oil for 3K miles don't waste money on the Tough Gard filter just buy a standard Fram filter or go one level better and get the Extended Gard Fram filter. Hope this helps
