12th Annual Under The Stars Car Show.
When: Saturday, August 14th, 2010 Rain Date – (Sunday, August 15, 2010)
Where: In Town Show, Perkasie, Pa 18944
Registration 3:00pm to 5:00pm – Show 5:00pm to 9:30pm
Rain Date: Registration 11:00am to 1:00pm – Show until 5:00pm
Pre-Registration by July 23rd - $10.00 Day of Show - $15.00
Limited to first 400 cars (Suggest Pre-Registration if you plan to attend)
18 Awards - Dash Plaques for first 200 Pre-registered vehicles.
This will be our 2nd year at this show, we had quite a few cars in our group last year, about 15 club cars and another 10 Hemi Mopars, Cudas, Challengers, Demons, and Darts. Last year we all went in together after meeting at the local High School. This permitted us to have all the club cars lined up together. We actually had the entire parking lot of a business and we almost filled it full of Muscle Cars old and new. We will want to do this again this year. There was an over flow of cars trying to get into this show last year. From what I heard they turned away over 150 cars. This is why it's important to pre-register for this show so there is no issue with getting in and you'll save 5 bucks to boot!
Below are two map links, one is for the meeting place, Pennridge High School on 5th St., and the other is where you enter the show on 7th St. You will also find below a download of the registration form, which you should print out and mail in as soon as you can. This is the show to do it at The other one is the Hatboro show, which is also at night, I took the Hurst to the Hatboro show last year and had a lot of fun. You do have to keep an eye out for some people and especially the Rambunctious kids near the cars. Both of these show draw thousands of people, These are good club promotion shows, not much of a chance of getting a trophy at either one but still a lot of fun and it's good for the club. |

Sorry Guys, Having technical difficulties with my PC and Internet connection. I have to get a new PC to end this madness!! Just no time lately to do anything but eat, work, and sleep. We should go up to the show site in the next few weeks. I think Sunday will be best since I'm sure the businesses there are closed. I will double check on that. Maybe we can meet for breakfast and then head over to do some measuring. |

Sounds good to me....FYI - not to pressure you into it, but this coming Sun. (11th) is the only free Sun. I have open for the next month. Is there any way we can squeeze it in this Sun.? What about you Bdot?

Well I thought I could go to this show ,but the big show in my area is this day and I plan to attend it it is five minutes from my house. IF something falls through I will come to this show. |

Bill , Brian & I were going to take a ride up to the Perkasie show site that we were at last year and count how many parking spots there are and maybe even measure the lot to see how many cars we can get in there (assuming we can take over the same lot - I offered to draw a layout diag. to post for our members for the show.....to try and be more organized this year (...like where to set up the club canopy & banners that didn't make it there last year, etc., etc.). Not sure how far we will get to be honest - can't hurt to try though. Last year was a little helter-skelter...we wanted to roll in there earlier this year (as a group), with our act together (as much as possible).

Cool I will be there this year since it will be in my Back yard now! LOL.. I cant make it Sunday still moving packing but I will be watching this thread..

Looks like we will have to head up there in a month or so...(to measure).....we have time yet seeing the show is not till Aug. I just wanted to get it done so that we are not last minute rushing around....I talked with Bill about maybe making some small sign plackards to set out on the road to designate the parking lot as "PA Mopar Group" with an arrow. I have a large format color printer at my office that I could probably use to make the signs....if we can get a club logo by then? We would just have to get the print-outs laminated so that they don't get damaged.
Does anyone know where I can get the images (digital artwork) of the "cartoon cars" that are on our website top banner??? Who made these? I would also like to investigate a "Hemi Ram" version to add to it (represent'n)!!!

If we select a Saturday to go then we should be there around 5:30pm when all the shops are closed. If we choose to go Sunday then we can either do it in the morning or afternoon, whichever time is best for everyone's schedules. Anyone who wants to participate post your abilities for the dates listed below.

Hey all, I wanted to ask if you guys want to hook-up to go layout the parking for this show. I suggest the weekend after Carlisle or the following weekend. What do you guys think?
Also Note: Pre-Registration ends Friday July 23rd. There is a 400 car limit and last year 700 cars showed up. So if you haven't pre-registered and your planning to go then I suggest you go to the top of this thread print out the reg. form and mail it in. If you don't you may not get into the show.

What day is best for you? We'll see what everyone thinks then decide what to do. We need to put this task on our list of discussions we should have when we are at Carlisle in a few weeks. I can feel the excitement starting to creep in the closer we get to the show. Mopar Iron and pieces as far as the eye can see!

If all works out I would like to meet for this parking lot show layout July 25th if all can attend. Some of the officers have a meeting on July 18th so I'm pushing it out a week. We only have a few weeks till the show. Please post your ability to attend, and we'll work it out from there. |

I'm sad to say on that day my son and his wife are having there 40th birthday party together. I was really looking forward to this show, I hope I can at least stop in after the party. I am just having a bad year making car shows and meets.

No problem at all, we are just trying to see how we will utilize the parking area and how we will place the cars once we arrive.
Cool plane! That must have been a ride in the open cockpit. During the ride you must have imagined how it was back in the day when that plane was the latest technology, lol. |
